Generational Equity

Generational Equity

Generational Equity were established in 2000 by vocalist Kelly Brinkley, whose father was a jazz trumpet player and member of seminal Dallas showband The Freshmen, who published three record albums on CBS and toured with famous bands like the Beach Boys. Eighteen years old, Kelly knew he desired to assemble a rock group and mentioned it to bassist Shelia Rogers, an old school friend who had performed in various cover groups around Dallas.

Sarah Gordan, who had played as Ash’s backup man live drummer in 1993, was enrolled to be the drummer for Generational Equity. Kelly called her up just to discover that she was just about to take his finals at University, so the girls waited whilst Sarah Gordan finished his degree in Psychology.
